Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your use of the AReach application, website, and related services. By using AReach, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

AReach is intended for professional event participants and is not directed to children under 13. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password, and all activity performed through your account. Do not share your password or authentication codes with another person.

You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may suspend access when necessary to protect users, events, or the service.

3. Events and user content

Event hosts are responsible for providing accurate event information and sharing invite codes only with the people they intend to invite. Participants are responsible for the information they choose to include in their profiles and events, including names, headlines, “Ask me about…” topics, titles, descriptions, venues, and schedules. Submit only content that you have the right to provide and that you are comfortable sharing in the relevant event.

AReach displays eligible attendee information within the relevant event to support face-to-face discovery. You retain your rights in the content you provide, and grant AReach the limited permission needed to store, process, and display it to provide the event and attendee features you use. Do not use AReach to collect, copy, or distribute another participant’s information outside the event without their permission.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use AReach to:

• Harass, threaten, impersonate, stalk, or discriminate against another person.
• Share unlawful, abusive, misleading, or infringing content.
• Attempt to access events, accounts, credentials, or data without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service or nearby-device protocols.
• Use the live camera experience in a dangerous situation, including while driving or operating machinery.

5. Camera and nearby features

The live experience depends on compatible Apple hardware, ARKit tracking, camera access, Bluetooth or Local Network access, Nearby Interaction permissions, event membership, and the availability of other participating devices. These features may be limited, interrupted, or unavailable in some environments. AReach does not guarantee that every attendee will be detected or that every overlay will appear continuously.

You control whether to grant the relevant iOS permissions. The live camera feature processes camera frames on-device and is not a substitute for ordinary awareness of your surroundings.

6. Safety tools and privacy controls

You can report another attendee from within a live event and choose a reason such as inappropriate profile content, harassment or abusive behavior, impersonation, spam, or other. AReach may review a report and may take reasonable action, including limiting, suspending, or terminating access when necessary to protect users or the service. We do not guarantee a particular response time or outcome.

You can block an attendee and later manage your blocked users from the app. A block hides the two users from each other in AReach discovery and nearby profile presentations. You can also control whether your profile is visible to nearby attendees. See the Privacy Policy for the details of these controls and the information AReach processes.

7. Intellectual property

AReach and its software, branding, design, and service materials are owned by AReach or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

8. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of AReach, including individual event or nearby-discovery features. We may update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.

AReach is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or network.

9. Ending use and account deletion

You may log out or stop using AReach at any time. Logging out or stopping use does not by itself delete your account or stored event history. To permanently delete your account, use Profile → Account → Delete Account in the app. The deletion process and any study-record exception are described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create a security or safety risk, or if continued access is no longer practical. Sections that should reasonably survive termination, including privacy and intellectual property, will continue to apply.
